As might be expected, McLaren has lodged a notice of appeal against the stewards' decision which saw Lewis Hamilton stripped of his win earlier today.
Ahead of a backlash from race fans and the media, especially in the UK, the FIA tonight confirmed that the stewards at Spa have received notice from McLaren that it will appeal their decision.
Consequently the result of the Belgian Grand Prix will be decided by the FIA's International Court of Appeal on a date to be determined.
