Sebastien Buemi, Kamui Kobayashi and Alvaro Parente have all been handed grid position penalties for race one tomorrow after failing to sufficiently heed yellow flags shown to them in this afternoon's qualifying session at the Circuit Magny Cours.

The three drivers were called to see the race stewards after the session, and were all handed five place penalties for the race as a result of their failure to sufficiently slow: Buemi's penalty resulted from Bruno Senna's crash at the start line which prompted the red flag with five minutes remaining, while Kobayashi and Parente picked up their penalties after Jérôme D'Ambrosio went off track in the last minute of the session.

Buemi finished the session in fifth place with Kobayashi just behind in seventh, while Parente had a more disappointing session, finishing 21st on the timesheets.
