Max the Menace?

Despite talk of a breakaway series and the ongoing rumblings regarding the future of Max Mosley, there has some welcome light relief at Montreal this weekend, albeit at the FIA President's expense.

Trackside TV screens are carrying advertising for new film based on Mel Brooks 1960s series Get Smart, which starred Don Adams as Maxwell Smart a bumbling, useless, Clouseau-style, secret agent

While in the United States and the UK the new film, which stars Steve Carell, will be called Get Smart, the TV advertising in Montreal refers to the movie by its French title... 'Max La Menace', which is constantly being flashed on the screens around the circuit.

Ironically, back home, the Daily Mail reports that the (former) MI5 agent husband of the hooker (Mistress Abi) who sold her story to the News of the World in the first place, caused a major intelligence alert when it was thought he was being tracked by terrorists.

Following a high-speed car chase through the streets of London, which ended up at MI5's Thames House HQ, the British intelligence service finally discovered that the agents pursuers were actually working for Quest, the private investigations company, run by Lord Stevens of Kirkwhelpington, former Chief of the Metropolitan Police.
