No less than three drivers have been fined for exceeding the pitlane speed limit during Thursday's free practice sessions.

Both Force India drivers were caught out, Adrian Sutil being hit for 600 Euros after reaching 62.5 kph, while teammate Giancarlo Fisichella was fined a similar amount for hitting 62.1 kph.

The third driver to be penalised was Heikki Kovalainen, who, having been clocked at 63.5 kph, receives am 800 Euro fine.

Meanwhile, following an incident involving Fernando Alonso, and having heard from the driver and a team representative, the stewards opted to take no further action.

The Spaniard was summoned by Race Stewards after driving a complete lap of the circuit following a collision with the barriers at Ste Devote. Over the course of the lap the Renault driver deposited various bits of debris on the circuit, particularly at Mirabeau.

One driver who was not amused by Alonso's failure to pull off track was Barrichello who gesticulated angrily at the two-time World Champion.
