The BBC has revealed that when it begins coverage of the Formula One World Championship in 2009, the production will be done 'in house', which means the end of the road for North One, the company which has produced ITV's coverage for the last twelve seasons.

Further to Pitpass' previous report, Radio Five Live commentator David Croft is likely to lead the commentary team while (BBC favourite) Adrian Chiles is likely to be the main presenter.

It is understood that the BBC is also seeking roles for members of the Top Gear team - surely another reason for F1 fans in the UK to seek out a pay-per-view alternative, even if its in German.

At present it seems that none of the current ITV team will be moving over to BBC.
