Taylor leaves Honda

While Honda continues its (vital) three-day solo test at Jerez, we hear that there has been some interesting pre-season activity back at the team's Brackley HQ.

Our sources tell us that former Chief Designer Kevin Taylor has left the team with immediate effect.

The exact reason for Taylor's departure is not yet known, however, it is understood that Jorg Zander's return to the team, and his appointment as Deputy Technical Director made his position untenable.

The Honda RA108 has been massively disappointing in pre-season testing thus far, and despite the number of re-shuffles over the last twelve-eighteen months it is thought that Ross Brawn could be head-hunting some high profile people in the months to come.

The RA108 has consistently been at the bottom of the timesheets, however it is hoped that a good test this week at Jerez will give the Brackley outfit a much-needed morale boost ahead of next week's season opener in Melbourne.
