Although the team is present at Barcelona today, the shutters on the Super Aguri garages remain well and firmly closed.

Originally a source confirmed to Pitpass that the team would not test this week, as team owner Aguri Suzuki continues his talks with various parties.

Subsequently, the Leafield based outfit's boss issued the following statement: "As talks regarding SAF1 Team continue, we have decided to focus our efforts on preparing for the first race in Australia as the freight leaves shortly. We shall therefore not be testing this week in Barcelona."

Today's news is the latest in a line of 'false starts' for the popular Japanese team, having previously delayed the launch of its 2008 team and then cancelling last week's planned test at Barcelona.

In its short history, the little Japanese outfit has taken over from Minardi as the team that all F1 fans have a soft spot for, it is to be sincerely hoped that Aguri's negotiations are successful.
