When some media outlets reported that Bahrain was "open" to the idea of a night race, Pitpass left the 'story' well alone.
Fact is, with a (current) time difference of just two hours, what would be the point?
A 14.00 start at Sakhir would see the race shown at midday in much of the sport's European heartland and at 11.00 in the UK.
Needless to say, organizers in Bahrain have now issued a statement totally rubbishing the original story, admitting that such an idea was never under consideration.
