Having been named as Williams second driver in Brazil, where he will replace Alex Wurz, Kazuki Nakajima is refusing to speculate on his chances of retaining the drive next season.

"I know there are some rumours about me but, honestly, I have no idea about it," he told f1grandprix.it "It's positive for me, because it means that what I did in GP2 was good for Formula 1 people. I just have to keep on having good results."

Referring to his GP2 season, in which he finished the year fifth in the standings, the Japanese youngster said: "Recently things have gone really well. After Silverstone I got a lot of podiums and I finished the championship in the top positions in my first year."

Referring to his reputation as a fighter, who tends to push a little too hard at times, Nakajima said: "Every time I try really hard to overtake my competitors, but sometimes it was a bit too much, like in Turkey. Now I try to think more about the points and not to make this same mistake again."
