As a result of the heavy mist that blanketed the track, today's free practice session was abandoned.
Originally, the session was delayed by fifteen minutes because the medical helicopter was unable to take off in such conditions.
After a further fifteen minute delay, the cars finally came out with just three drivers posting times before the red flags were brought out. There were no incidents, indeed, Nico Rosberg reports that there was no standing water. However, with the air ambulance once again grounded the session was further delayed.
There followed a number of further announcements from Race Control before the session was finally abandoned with just five minutes remaining.
It is likely, that this afternoon's session, will be the first qualifying session of the 2007 season.
