While his team awaits news of its fate in Paris, it's business as usual for Fernando Alonso, who attended this afternoon's FIA press conference at Spa Francorchamps ahead of this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.

"I'm not thinking about anything outside here, the paddock," said the Spaniard. "I have a meeting with the engineer now preparing the strategy for tomorrow, which tyre to use in P1, P2 and checking the forecast for the weekend, the setup... any more than this I am not ready to think," he added.

While the World Champion was addressing the assembled media - that which wasn't camped on the pavement outside the FIA's Paris HQ - his English teammate, Lewis Hamilton, and test driver Pedro de la Rosa, were attending the WMSC hearing. Asked if he was thinking about what was happening a few hundred miles away, Alonso was adamant.

"My concentration is 100 percent on this paddock, on winning this race,2 he said. "I'm not thinking even two seconds about anything else. "I will not comment on what is happening today. I don't think about what can or cannot happen today in Paris, I am not in that matter."

Asked why he had not attended the hearing, Alonso was equally emphatic: "No comment," he hit back.
