As widely predicted rain has hit the test at Monza.
A short, fairly light, shower hit the Autodromo Nazionale at around 13.30 during the lunch break. Though it has now stopped, and the sun has come out, much heavier rainfall is predicted later this afternoon and overnight.
At this point in time no definite decision has been made regarding whether the teams will continue testing on Friday. With the eleven teams having completed over 400 laps so far today, it appears that the only way the test will now be extended is if tomorrow's programme should be seriously affected.
Lewis Hamilton headed the timesheets this morning.
