What's that about glass houses Nigel?

There are times when certain people in the pitlane only have to break wind, and within moments a 'blast from the past' is opining that this never happened in their day.

In the wake of the Hungaroring qualifying saga, Nigel Mansell has been quick to share his thoughts on the latest saga to rock the sport.

Following Lewis Hamilton's claim that Fernando Alonso is no longer speaking to him (sob), Mansell claims that the problems between the two drivers should be kept in-house and not made public.

"It's something for the team to deal with," the 1992 World Champion told BBC Sport. "It's not something for the public to be part of."

This, of course, is the same Nigel Mansell that never missed an opportunity to play up for the cameras, using the media to inform his adoring public just how badly he was being treated by a variety of teams, most notably Williams and Ferrari.

This is the same Mansell, who has retired from the sport more times that Kate Moss has ditched Pete Docherty, and used a specially (secretly) organized press conference at the 1992 Italian GP - having secured the title - to inform his team that he was leaving, after it had failed to meet his numerous demands.

The first Frank Williams knew of the press conference, and Mansell's decision, was when the moustachioed one appeared on the TV monitors after warm-up. While the press conference was still in progress Williams sent an employee to talk to Mansell saying that the matter could be resolved but the 'People's Champion' waved him away.
