NEWS STORY

Adam Carroll (FMS International) Winner - Today has been absolutely brilliant. I was sixth at the start but I couldn't do much because the balance wasn't quite there on the first set of tyres and I was struggling a bit. I just knew I had to stay consistent and make no mistakes. Then the team called the pitstop which was right on the money. The boys changed four tyres in six seconds which was a fantastic job and after that the balance was better. It was quite painful to see how many laps I had left but I just pushed as hard as I could for the rest of the race - I couldn't push anymore - and I didn't make any mistakes. It was close with Nakajima a few times, but I just kept a consistent pace and brought it home. We've won two races now, and we are working very hard. We need to find consistency to run at the front for the rest of the year.

Kazuki Nakajima (DAMS) 2nd - I didn't actually expect to be on the podium so the second place is a really good result for me and for the team. It's incredible to score five podiums in a row. You have to say that I could have won the race, if I didn't have a slow car in front of me during the safety car, but still I'm quite happy with second place.

Andi Zuber (iSport International) 3rd - Considering I had a very bad start I knew I had to work very hard. I then was fighting against Maldonado which was very dirty what he did once in the corner. But in the end, one lap after, I overtook him and then I just tried to push very hard. The shame was just the safety car, but it was a good race.

Javier Villa (Racing Engineering) 8th - Eighth is not bad at all although I was looking forward to something better after qualifying. Actually this weekend I was aiming to be in the top five but the race was really hard, with a lot of incidents. Now we have to carefully prepare for tomorrow's race, another podium will be great!

Kohei Hirate (Trident Racing) 11th - Today's race started in a bad way for me. I stalled my engine on the grid but, fortunately, I managed to get it working again when I was pushed by race stewards towards the pits, and then I took off from the pit-lane. In the first laps I had the chance to push hard, and I found a very good pace, better than in qualifying. I was so sorry because, due to another mistake while I was fighting for 8th , I lost a points finish and a possible pole position for tomorrow.

Bruno Senna (Arden International) 13th - Today was hard. I think we managed to make some improvements in some areas since yesterday, such as the traction, but I expected other things to be better. We were scratching our heads after qualifying yesterday, so we decided to change the car completely, and we went back to a set-up that we used in Barcelona. We needed to test different things to try to find out what the problem with, and after the changes that we made yesterday and the results of the race today, we'll change some other things to see if that will help for tomorrow's race. The lap times today were not brilliant, and I was having to fight the car and try everything, so I don't think we are quite there yet. We need to look into everything and understand what is going on. There was a bit more grip on the corners today, but also more marbles offline, so if you made any mistakes you were in trouble. It was difficult, but I think the circuit in general is better, so tomorrow we'll have an interesting race. This weekend we really need to establish what is wrong with the car to try to improve the situation for the rest of the season.

Luca Filippi (Super Nova International) DNF - It was an exciting race if nothing else! I was passing Lapierre when we had a little contact, which we think broke the left rear wishbone. I managed to continue for a bit, but the vibrations got worse and lost control. I think we will be able to repair the car for tomorrow, but we will be starting from the back.

Pastor Maldonado (Trident Racing) DNF - After a good start, that allowed be to climb up to 4th place, things didn't go on as I expected. I didn't have a good feeling with the car, and I decided to not push too much due to an annoying oversteer. Then, on lap 8, I suddenly lost control of the car and wrecked into the barriers. It's a shame, any point scored today could have been vital for our standing position.

Mike Conway (Super Nova International) DNF - I made a mistake. I went round the outside of turn two and hit some dirt. I spun and while trying to get going again, I stalled. It ended there for me unfortunately.
