Andi Zuber (right) put his recent race disappointments behind him today with a stunning performance in GP2 Series testing. The iSport International driver was the class of the field in the morning session, finishing half a second in front of his team-mate Timo Glock, and he repeated this stellar performance by topping the afternoon session by almost the same margin from Campos Grand Prix's Giorgio Pantano.

The expected iSport battle at the top failed to materialise in the afternoon, after championship leader Timo was called away by the BMW F1 Team on a last minute flight to conduct testing duties for them at Silverstone tomorrow. There were only 24 drivers this afternoon, as with Timo called away on F1 duty, Miek Conway also sat out the second session as his car was rebuilt following a big shunt this morning.

Javier Villa completed a great day with the third fastest time in the afternoon session, with Roldan Rodriguez an impressive fourth for Minardi Piquet Sports. Borja Garcia brought his Durango round in fifth place with Luca Filippi sixth in the sole Super Nova International car, Nicolas Lapierre seventh for Dams, and Andy Soucek eighth for DPR.

The top ten was rounded out by the Venezuelan pair of Pastor Maldonado and Ernesto Viso, the latter of whom completing a simply superb return to the cockpit after more than half a year out of single-seaters, sitting on the sofa.
