Willy Rampf has revealed that BMW is to introduce a number of new parts this weekend in Monaco, including a new power steering system.

The system was due to appear in Spain - hence the references to it on the rear wings of the F1.07s, however, it was held back in order that it could be further tested at Paul Ricard during the recent four-day test.

"We have developed a new front wing generating maximum downforce, which we used for the first time - successfully - in Barcelona," said Rampf referring to the new components about to make their race debut. "We will modify this wing again for Monaco. Plus, we will be introducing totally new front brake ducts and modifications to the rear bodywork. In addition, we will also use for the first time a new power steering that provides more feedback to the drivers."

BMW drivers have finished in fourth place in four opening rounds of the World Championship, effectively consolidating the German manufacturer's position as the 'third power' this season.
