NEWS STORY
Bruno Senna - 1st: It was a great gamble! I was worried stopping early was the right thing to do, but the team made the right call and did a great job. The car was strong all race but I honestly didn't expect this start to 2007.
Timo Glock - 2nd: We had the speed to win but Bruno made the right choice for the race, and us for the championship.
Lucas di Grassi - 3rd: I'm pretty satisfied with a podium. We lost some places in the pits but the team made the right call.
Sergio Jimenez - 7th: I had a very good race. When the safety car came out at the start of the race the team decided to keep me running and I held third for a long time. The delayed stop may have cost me a little time but the team did a great pitstop and I was able to make up more places. I start on the front of the grid tomorrow and I'm hoping for more points.
Javier Villa - 8th: The race was really good, I stopped on the second lap for new tyres and the car was handling well when I came out. I drove hard but it was difficult at the end of the race as the tyres began to go off. I am starting tomorrow in pole position and we are making a few small changes to improve the car, I am sure tomorrow will be really good.
Kazuki Nakajima - 15th: I did a good start and I was 7th after the first corner. After my pit stop, I was behind a car and it was not easy to overtake it. I was waiting for the driver to make a mistake but when he did it I could not avoid him. The car was damaged and I had to stop two more times. After, the car was good and I did the fastest lap.
Nicolas Lapierre - DNF: I did my pit stop during safety car intervention and I was 3rd when I left the pit. I was on a good pace when the engine failed. I am very disappointed because we had a strong opportunity to be on the podium.
Mike Conway - DNF: I got a bad start, came along side Pantano & I held into the corner. But with no room, the cars touched & I went onto the grass. When I got back on track Negrao hit me hard from behind and unfortunately it was race over for me.
Luca Filippi - DNF: I got a good start, but from my point of view I didn't see what happened next. I just feel it is a shame to have missed out on some big points today and will be a tough race tomorrow to try and score, starting from the back.
