A1 Team Netherlands is hosting a special design contest to give the Dutch A1GP car a new livery for season three. Everyone can enter, the only obligation being the use of the colour orange in the design.

On the website A1teamned.com everyone can download two line drawings (side – and topview) and start designing straight away. This way the organisation is hoping to get creative ideas for the car's 2007/2008 livery. "If the quality of the winning design is good enough and if the feasibility is of a level that it fits the National team, we will use this livery on the car and thus the design can be admired worldwide, on the circuits and in the 135 countries where A1GP is being broadcasted", says Robert Hoevers, A1 Team Netherlands General Manager.

At the moment the car is completely orange. A color that is not the easiest to implement in a livery design, but it is and will be the Dutch team. On the line drawings everyone can give their impression of a possible new livery. Apart from orange, red, white and blue can of course be used, as well as other colours, as long as the car has got a Dutch appearance. On the same website the racing fans can give their opinion about the submitted designs. An official jury, consisting of A1 Team Netherlands Seatholder Jan Lammers, driver Jeroen Bleekemolen and General Manager Robert Hoevers, will make a selection out of the various designs.

The design contest winner will be invited to witness the A1GP Zandvoort on September 30th, as a special guest of A1 Team Netherlands. Furthermore there are fantastic prizes to be won for the top entries, which are presented by A1 Team Netherlands sponsors.

The winning design will be announced on July 1st.
