David Coulthard and Rubens Barrichello will both start tomorrow's Malaysia Grand Prix from the back of the grid, having opted to change their engines.

The Brazilian has had a fraught day, having to switch to the spare car after his own race car developed a gearbox problem. To cap a thoroughly miserable weekend, the spare was set up for Button, and though the team worked frantically to get the car ready there wasn't time to change the Brazilian's engine.

"There is very little I can say, I am so disappointed," he admitted, "Starting from the back of the grid tomorrow I can only see what opportunities arise in the race and that is the best we can expect."

It was later revealed that as a precaution, his team replaced David Coulthard's engine before the start of today's qualifying session, therefore the Scot always knew he would be given a ten-spot penalty.

While DC qualified thirteenth, Barrichello's penalty was less severe, the Brazilian, having qualified nineteenth, only loses a couple of places.
