Speaking in Japan, ahead of the launch of his team's 2007 contender, Super Aguri boss, former F1 driver Aguri Suzuki, has said that his team will be in a position to give a more realistic performance this season.

"I'm actually more nervous about this year," he told reporters in Tokyo, just three days before the season opener in Melbourne. "We are finally lining up to race and not just to be on the starting grid."

All eyes will be on the Japanese team tomorrow when it launches its new car, which is thought to be based on the 2006 Honda. A number of teams, most notably Williams and Spyker are preparing to mount a legal challenge, claiming that the Japanese team, like Toro Rosso, contravenes the current rules.

Ignoring the threat of legal action, Aguri prefers to concentrate on the other battle that lies ahead.

"Last year went by like a flash and there have been more sleepless nights making sure everything is right this year," he admits. "We won't know exactly how much progress we've made until race day."

Super Aguri is the last team to launch its 2007 car, having used an interim chassis during pre-season testing.
