Super Aguri has announced that the launch of its 2007 contender will not now take place in Tokyo on Monday March 12, but at the Melbourne circuit two days later.

"Please accept our apologies for the change of Launch Date," reads a statement issued by the Japanese team. "We are working relentlessly to prepare our 2007 challenger which will unfortunately not be available for presentation on the 12th March in Tokyo as originally planned."

This is the second time the team has delayed the launch of the SA07 - widely thought to be the Honda RA106 - having previously failed to pass the mandatory crash test. The car is being manufactured in collaboration with Honda's Research and Development in Tochigi.

There is speculation that the Japanese team will use the launch to announce a major sponsor.
