A1 Team Switzerland heads to Durban in South Africa aiming to build on the two podium finishes Neel Jani (right) secured last year on the 3.283km sea-side track. Jani returns to the cockpit this weekend with the team boosted by points Sebastien Buemi secured while he was away. The team now lies fifth overall in the A1GP classification. The team's rookie will be again Marcel Fässler.

Neel Jani said: "I have excellent memories of this track from last year. I took the lead of the feature race right at the start and looked set to win until a brake problem in the final laps meant I had to ease off and let Verstappen through. Ironically I was awarded the "best overtaking manoeuvre of the year". It seems that none of the officials realised the importance of my brake problems. Nevertheless, I claimed two podiums in the first edition of the South Africa race, finishing the sprint race in third and the feature race in second."

Jani added, "I have watched the videos of last year's race again and am really keen to get behind the wheel again. All of us are really looking forward to the race, which is one of the best on the calendar for atmosphere. The problem that I encountered with my hand and my fingers is resolved and I am really ready and fit for the start of the race. "

A1 Team Switzerland team principal, Max Welti added: "We are looking forward to an even bigger and better event than the first edition last year. Everything indicates that again the organizers have done a fantastic job for the presentation of their race and that it will be even better than last year's."
