In a typically ambiguous press release, Scuderia Toro Rosso has announced that its 2007 contender - yet to be designated, but essentially the Red Bull RB3 with a Ferrari engine, so we are told - will be unveiled next Tuesday at the Barcelona Circuit.

A press release/launch invitation issued this afternoon reads:

"Scuderia Toro Rosso's 2007 car should be ready very soon, although we are not sure exactly when."

Journalists are invited to the event but are warned: "The car might or might not be ready, but Tuesday 13 February is our press day, when you will have plenty of access to Gerhard Berger, Franz Tost, Alex Hitzinger and our drivers."

The drivers have yet to be named, though it is widely speculated that the Italian team will stick with its 2006 line up, which comprised Tonio Liuzzi and Scott Speed.

The 'new' car is the subject of much speculation, and possible legal action, with Williams and Spyker both insisting that if the Toro Rosso is the RB3, it is in contravention of the current Concorde Agreement.
