Reports in the German media suggest that Ferrari will run its 2007 contender at Jerez on January 16, the first day of testing at the Spanish track and the same day that BMW launches its car at Valencia.
It is highly unlikely that this will be the official launch of the new car since traditionally the Italian team prefers to unveil its contender at the Gestione Sportiva headquarters in Maranello.
Previously, Ferrari has run its new car in black (carbon fibre) ahead of the official launch.
