Christian Bakkerud will continue his relationship with Carlin this week, as the young Dane takes part in Carlin DPR's first GP2 test. The new GP2 team, which sees Carlin Motorsport and Dave Price Racing come together as part of a joint venture, is currently looking at options for its 2007 driver line-up.

Bakkerud has previously raced with Carlin in Formula BMW UK and the British F3 championship. The 22 year-old's maiden win in F3 was a significant one for the team – making Carlin the most successful F3 team in history, with a total of 72 wins.

Trevor Carlin commented, "Christian completes what will be a very strong test line-up in Valencia and benefits from a good relationship with the Carlin team. Now that we have confirmed our entry into GP2 with DPR, I'm delighted to be able to give Christian this opportunity in a GP2 car and we're looking forward to seeing how he does later this week."

Bakkerud will take to the Valencia track on Saturday 2 December alongside Ernesto Viso.
