One of the most ludicrous rumours doing the rounds this week - picked up by the usual suspects - linked Ross Brawn with a move to Honda.

Speaking at Shanghai on Friday, team boss, Nick Fry, who some F1 insiders believe is coming towards the end of his association with the Japanese team, dismissed the Brawn 'connection' without hesitation.

"I think you can firmly put that one to bed," said the Englishman.

Although there has been talk of Brawn retiring at the end of the year, or at least taking a one-year sabbatical, the Ferrari technical director refused to shed light on his plans ahead of the Italian team's official announcement, scheduled to take place after the final race of the season.

"I really don't want to comment until the end of the season," he told reporters, "and then we can make things clear.

"I'm very happy at Ferrari," he added, "and I'm certainly not entertaining going to another team. But all will become clear at the end of the year."
