Due to an undisclosed problem, Super Aguri has opted to change the engine in Takuma Sato's car ahead of this weekend's China Grand Prix, resulting in a ten-place grid penalty for Sunday's race.

The Japanese driver was due to use the same powerplant he used at Monza, but the problem, discovered today (Thursday), left the team with no option but to change the unit.

That said, Sato's best qualifying result this year is 18th, at Indianapolis.

In 2005, driving for BAR, he qualified 17th.
