A new F1 magazine to break cover?

Pitpass hears that a new Formula One magazine is to be launched in the coming months.

We understand the project in question is a new Formula One business magazine from an independent publisher not currently involved in motorsport. That said, we hear the team behind the project has a long history in F1 journalism both in the specialist press, including Bernie Ecclestone's F1 Magazine, and national newspapers

The British-based magazine, which will be available on newsstands as well as being sent out to the top executives within the industry, expects to draw big name columnists from within the sport.

Though there is an obvious market for a specialist magazine, this side of the £4bn Formula One industry has been pretty much ignored up until now, other than Tom Rubython's Business F1, which, as a result of some heavy-handed journalism has all too often ended up in the law courts and alienating many of the serious players within the paddock.
