A1 Grand Prix's television department has been busy reviewing next season's broadcast rights.

Recent developments include a one-year renewal with The Netherlands broadcaster RTL 7. The Dutch broadcaster was a solid partner in the first season; broadcasting live and on-site at most races.

In addition to RTL 7, contracts have been exchanged with TV3 in New Zealand for a one year renewal, while in the UK Sky Sports has agreed to allow delayed terrestrial television coverage. Discussions are currently underway with a number of TV outlets in the territory.

The news will be welcomed in Britain where many race fans missed out on A1 GP, either due to the fact that they couldn't afford the Sky Sports packages or simply had no access to it.

Pitpass had always claimed that race fans' inability to see A1 GP - even delayed - was a major stumbling block.
