Following Nicolas Lapierre's accident at the Monaco GP2 race last weekend, the young Frenchman will be replaced by Neel Jani for the next race at Silverstone.

Nicolas was injured in a multi-car collision at the start of the race, which left two of his vertebrae compressed. Despite being in pain from this injury, Nicolas is recovering well but will need to rest for four to five weeks.

Neel Jani finished 7th in the inaugural GP2 Championship in 2005, winning races in Hungary and Monza.

The Swiss driver is currently third driver for F1 team, Scuderia Toro Rosso and will have a busy weekend fulfilling his Friday driver test duties and racing in GP2.
