After days of speculation, Pitpass can confirm that Bernie Ecclestone has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the five manufacturers that comprise the Grand Prix Manufacturers' Association, thereby ending the threat of a breakaway series.
The five manufacturers signed the MoU over the Barcelona Grand Prix weekend, however, Ecclestone's failure to sign at the same time led to speculation that there might still be problems.
This afternoon (Friday) it was officially confirmed to Pitpass that Ecclestone has now signed.
