53 stars line up for charity soccer match

As many as 53 sportsmen, from various sports, have accepted an invitation from H.S.H. Prince Albert II to participate in the annual football match at the Louis II Stadium in Monte Carlo during the Monaco Grand Prix week.

The members of the "Nazionale Piloti Team" will don their black and white strip when they play against Prince Albert's Star Team for Children in an effort to raise money for A.M.A.D.E. - the Association Nationale Monégasque des Amis De l'Enfance. The Association, founded in 1963 by Princess Grace of Monaco, works for the protection of children's rights wherever these are endangered.

The match has been arranged for Tuesday 23rd May, and will kick-off at 19:15 and in this special event Nazionale Piloti Captain Riccardo Patrese, along with with Max Biaggi, Antonio Pizzonia and Ezio Gianola will move over to the "enemy ranks" and play for the Star Team.

Meanwhile, Michael Schumacher, Jarno Trulli, Giancarlo Fisichella, Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa and Maro Engel, along with teammates from two and four wheels, will clash with skiers Kristian Ghedina, Giorgio Rocca and Peter Runggaldier and with the Olympic athletes Sergej Bubka and Frank Fredericks.

However, the list of special guests who will take part in this memorable event is exceedingly long and includes; Ivan Capelli, Matteo Montezemolo, Gabriele Tarquini, Carlos Sainz, Robert Kubica, Giorgio Pantano, Emanuele Pirro, Troy Baillis, Tom Kristensen, Gimmy Bruni, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Zsolt Baumgartner, Stephane Ortelli, Marc Gené, Juan Pablo Montoya (!), Troy Corser and Robert Doornbos.
