Earlier this week, Midland F1, which is definitely, not under any circumstances, for sale, so don't bother enquiring, announced that Fabrizio Del Monte has been signed in a "test and reserve role".
Del Monte therefore joins other Midland test drivers such as Markus Winkelhock, Roman Rusinov, Adrian Sutil and Giorgio Mondini, not to mention race drivers Tiago Monteiro and Christijan Albers.
Imagine our shock therefore, on hearing Sporting Relations Manager, former F1 star Johnny Herbert, announce yesterday that amongst other prizes on offer in a current competition is a "Midland F1 race seat".
How many more drivers do they need?
