No Imola worries for Rubens

Despite having to end his Barcelona test early due to a trapped nerve, there is no concern that Rubens Barrichello will miss next weekend's San Marino Grand Prix.

On Friday, his third day of action at the Spanish track, Barrichello ended his test early, handing over to third driver, Anthony Davidson. "I pulled a slight nerve in my shoulder so I stopped running to get it checked out," Rubens confirmed.

Davidson completed a further 69 laps, but failed to beat the best time his teammate had set earlier in the day.

A Honda source has confirmed to Pitpass that there is no question that Barrichello will not drive at Imola, even though some sections of the media are suggesting otherwise.

After a disappointing start to his race career with Honda, all eyes are on the Brazilian to finally get to grip with the Honda, and the Michelins, and begin challenging his teammate.

Some pitlane sceptics had already been suggesting that Rubens might fall victim to a mystery 'virus' thereby allowing Davidson to deputise and giving Honda the opportunity to further evaluate the situation.
