WilliamsF1 driver, Mark Webber, has been named as this year's winner of the Lorenzo Bandini trophy.

The trophy, named after the Formula One and Sportscar driver, who died in a horrendous accident at Monaco in 1967, is awarded annually to the F1 driver who has most impressed the panel of judges.

The Australian will receive the award at a special ceremony in the town of Brisighella, Bandini's home town, and 16 miles south of Imola, ahead of next weekend's San Marino Grand Prix.

Previous winner include World Champions Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso, and Kimi Raikkonen.
