It's not all beer and skittles being a grand prix driver. While many of his colleagues have been sunning themselves on tropical beaches, David Coulthard returned to Europe after the Malaysian Grand Prix to take part in a two day test in southern Spain, using a new RB2 chassis (number 4).
The first day of the test went well, with David getting through the bulk of the planned programme, which centred on suspension work in the morning, followed by tyre evaluation for the up-coming San Marino and European Grands Prix in the afternoon.
Thursday morning also proved productive, as the team made various set-up changes to the car. However, some technical problems brought the test to a slightly premature end.
Nevertheless, Chief Test Engineer, Ian Morgan, described the two days as "the best test session we have had with RB2 so far."
