NEWS STORY

Today (Tuesday), was The first day of Honda's three-day test at the Vallelunga circuit in Italy, with Anthony Davidson and James Rossiter both on duty.

This is the first time that the team has tested in Vallelunga and has the advantage of exclusive use of the circuit this week.

Intermittent rain showers prevented any dry tyre running in the morning session, so both drivers completed some early wet set-up runs.

The circuit dried out sufficiently by 2pm to allow both drivers to begin their dry running programmes. The circuit continued to steadily improve throughout the afternoon session with track temperatures reaching a high of 26 degrees C and ambient temperatures reaching 20 degrees.

Anthony ran through a tyre evaluation, while James ran through a chassis programme concentrating on various set-up options in the new chassis 05.

Both drivers will continue here tomorrow.
