Australian Jones could drive for Pakistan

Having failed to impress for his own country, it looks as though Christian Jones might end up racing for another.

Following an accident in the Saturday morning free practice session, Pakistan driver, Adam Khan, was taken to hospital and subsequently missed the 4-part qualifying session.

Team Pakistan has now announced that should Khan be unfit to race he will be replaced by Jones.

"Providing Adam feels OK then of course we'd want him to race," said team boss David Sears. "If not, then we have been given permission to use A1 Team Australia's second driver Christian Jones as a possible replacement."

There have already been claims - mainly in Australia - that Jones' inclusion in the Australia team is more about nepotism than merit.

Meanwhile, one has to ask what ever became of Nur Ali, the driver presented to the media at the launch of Team Pakistan, and never heard of again?
