France aiming to continue where it left off

A1 Team France dominated the first six rounds of the A1 Grand Prix championship and after the six-week break Alexandre Prémat will be back behind the wheel and is determined to continue his team's dominance.

This weekend will be Alexandre Prémat first visit to South Africa: "I really want to start 2006 on a high note. I love these street circuits like Monaco, Montreal, Paul, Norisring or Macau. After the long winter break I'm feeling very fit and ready to race."

The all-new Durban 3.283km street circuit has been built in a record time especially for the seventh round of the inaugural A1 Grand Prix series is centred on Durban's elegant ocean frontage. The first corner is very tight and promises some exciting racing.

Jean-Paul Driot, team principal, A1 Team France commented: "Again for this race, we will remain completely focused. I'm confident that the team and the drivers will continue to perform well and we're aiming to continue winning and build on our good result in Dubai. Being the home race for A1 Team South Africa we hope to see a huge crowd this weekend."
