It is not surprising that some Portuguese race fans are getting more than a little agitated.
Despite his own claims that a deal has been done, and in spite of the FIA having his name on its official entry list, Tiago Monteiro's drive with Midland F1 in 2006 has yet to be officially confirmed by the team.
When contacted by Pitpass, in early November, following claims in the Portuguese media that a deal had been done, a spokeswoman insisted that it would only be official when the team announced it as official.
"You can take a few days off, because we are not making any announcements," she added.
Two months later, and following the launch of its shiny, all singing, all dancing website, there is still no official news, indeed, Tiago's name is worryingly conspicuous by its absence.
