After A1 Team Brasil's impressive showing in Portugal two weeks ago, the squad now move to the other side of the globe for the next round of the A1 Grand Prix series, which will be held this weekend at the Eastern Creek Raceway, near Sydney in Australia.

Despite the team's strong performance in Portugal, a great weekend for Team France saw them take the lead in the championship, with Team Brasil slipping to second. It is the team's ambition this weekend to regain the championship lead with a strong and consistent performance.

20-year-old double-race winner Nelson Piquet Jr will once again lead the charge for the team. As in Portugal at the last round, 22-year-old Tuka Rocha will be the team's official reserve driver.

Nelson Piquet Jr: "I'm really looking forward to this weekend and it's our aim to get back to the top of the championship. It's my first time in Australia so we came out a few days early to get the chance to look around a bit. We have seen some of the sights in Sydney, which is a great city, and we also had the chance to drive a car on the circuit for a short time. This is good experience for me, because it means I don't lose that first five or ten minutes trying to find my way around the track because now I know a bit about how it is already. It's a little bit similar to Brands Hatch with the corners and I it's going to be great driving in the A1 car on it for the first time tomorrow. We should have been leading the championship coming to Australia. I've had problems, in Germany it was a pitstop and in Portugal I made a mistake at the start and let the car stall when I was on pole, so we are second now but hopefully we can change that and lead the championshp again after this weekend."
