Frentzen recovering following DTM crash

Former F1 star Heinz-Harald Frentzen has been kept in hospital for further checks following an accident in the final round of the DTM Championship at Hockenheim.

The German, who won Grands Prix with WilliamsF1 and Jordan, suffered a concussion after crashing his Opel crashed sideways into the tyre barriers at the German GP track.

Following the accident he was taken to hospital in Ludwigshafen, where he underwent a brain scan.

The German regained consciousness on Monday, telling doctors that he has no recollection of the accident.

Doctors have said that they want to keep him in for a couple more days in order to observe his progress and carry out tests.
