Luxembourg Prime Minister, Jean-Claude Juncker, has stated that the Grand Duchy is unable to come to the rescue of the Belgian Grand Prix, following the news that the promoter has run into financial problems.
In a statement, Juncker said: "The current budgetary situation does not allow Luxembourg's authorities to participate financially in this event,"
One of the other alternatives being looked at is the possibility of finding a new promoter, with the Walloon government holding a crisis meeting next month.
