A1 Team Pakistan driver Adam Khan is looking forward to gaining more valuable experience, and track positions, in tomorrow's second round of the A1 Grand Prix series, at EuroSpeedway, Lausitz, Germany.

Today's qualifying session was divided into four fifteen-minute periods, during which each time. With an aggregate time of 3'08.559, from the two best lap times, A1 Team Pakistan took 16th spot on the grid for the opening Sprint Race (18 laps). Nicolas Lapierre of A1 Team France topped the qualifying table of the 25 competing nations posted a 'flying lap' with a pole-setting time of 3'05.332.

Arif Husain, Chairman of A1 Team Pakistan: "The A1 Grand Prix series is a great opportunity for Pakistan and I'm proud to be part of this new and exciting venture. Being the youngest participating driver and maybe less experienced than many of the competitors here at the circuit today, that doesn't mean that he is less determined. With further practice in the warm-up session tomorrow, I'm sure he will perform well in the race and as always he has the full support of Pakistan."

Adam Khan: "In the practice session this morning I tried following the more experienced drivers around the circuit to learn the lines. In qualifying, the balance of the car felt good but I have to work on my braking and on carrying more speed through the corners. This circuit is very different from Brands Hatch [where Adam showed strongly in the opening rounds two weeks ago] and I'm learning all the time. Tomorrow's warm-up session will give me further opportunity to practice my lines again, which should stand me in good stead in the Sprint Race."

A1 Team Pakistan Team Principal, David Sears: "EuroSpeedway is a very technical circuit and with the limited amount of running time we've had, it favours the more experienced drivers in the A1 Grand Prix series. But Adam is continuously improving and I'm sure he will be more competitive over race distance."
