The Pitpass Japan GP Quiz

NEWS STORY

Having sent in some of his previous quizzes just as the cars were departing the starting grid, Geoff Collins has made a real effort in recent weeks.

The Brazilian Grand Prix quiz was sent in a day or so before race weekend - admittedly by carrier pigeon - whilst his Japanese Grand Prix quiz arrived a whole week before the race!

The fact that the quiz hasn't appeared on the front page will no doubt have 'The Gnome' preparing one of many e-mails that he will send in from internet cafes around Europe using a number of crude aliases; 'where is the quiz, it's the best thing about your crap site', 'it's the only thing I bother reading on sh*tpass'... that sort of thing.

Therefore to appease 'The Gnome', and to ease the burden on the Pitpass mail server, here is the Pitpass Japan Grand Prix Quiz, compiled by Mr Geoff Collins.

Geoff looks back at the 2004, 1999 and 1987 events.

Now, we're sure you remember who finished second to Michael Schumacher in last year's race, but whose car did Kimi bump into and who failed to see that Rubens was overtaking him, resulting in a collision?

Back in 1999, Eddie Irvine was leading the championship on arrival at Suzuka. Michael took pole, but how much slower was 'fast Eddie' than his teammate in qualifying? Also, What make of car was Fisichella driving and who scored a point in his last race for Sauber?

As for 1987, who had a massive accident in practice and could not race? Also, which make of engine were the McLaren cars using and which local driver scored a point?

Think you know F1, think you know the Japan GP?

Do the quiz... don't let Geoff's work - and e-mails - be in vain.
