Lucas di Grassi, currently running third in the Formula 3 Euroseries, and a member of Renault's Driver Development programme (RDD), will make his F1 debut at Jerez this week.
The twenty-one-year-old Brazilian will join, regular test driver, Franck Montagny, as the team prepares for the final two rounds of the 2006 championship season, and a last-ditch attempt to stop McLaren taking the Constructors' Championship.
