Christian Klien stormed round the Autodromo Carlos Pace Circuit today, to set the sixth fastest time in qualifying. His team-mate David Coulthard was sixteenth fastest. However, following Jarno Trulli's ten- place grid penalty, which he collected for replacing his car's engine after the fourth free practice session, Jarno fell to 18th position, which promoted David to 15th. The Red Bull Racing duo will therefore line up sixth and 15th on tomorrow's grid, for the start of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

David Coulthard: We've been struggling a bit this weekend. We trimmed the wing this morning to try and achieve more speed, which is just one of the compromises we've had to make. I was suffering with understeer on my qualifying lap, which meant I lost some time on the tight turns. But, I think we've got a reasonable fuel load ahead of tomorrow's race and we've done the best we can with the tools on offer, so now it's just a question of seeing what the race brings.

Christian Klien: I had a really perfect qualifying lap. I was right on the edge and had good balance in the car. Things felt good this morning and we built on that by making a few changes after the day's final practice, and before the start of qualifying. I fought hard throughout the qualifying lap and got a good result at the end of it. I have to thank the team. My car was pretty damaged after yesterday's crash, but they repaired it quickly, meaning we could get back on with our practice programme this morning.

Christian Horner, Sporting Director: It was an excellent lap by Christian, who secured one of our best grid positions of the year. It was a very aggressive lap with no mistakes and he has a good strategy for tomorrow. Unfortunately, David wasn't happy with his car's balance, which cost him quite a bit of time in the middle sector. But, it's a very physical circuit here, and David should have a good chance to recover places during tomorrow's race.
