Despite a number of failures, which may well have cost him the 2005 World Championship, Kimi Raikkonen is adamant that he still believes in McLaren and is not looking elsewhere.

"Yeah, I believe in the team," he said in Germany today. "I don't know if it is luck or bad luck, I don't really believe in those things. We just need to keep working hard and make sure that we don't have any problems.

Last week a remorseless performance, which was certain to give the Finn his fourth win of the season, and bring him within ten points of Fernando Alonso, ended in misery on lap 35 following a hydraulics failure. In the two previous races he forfeited valuable grid spots due to engine failures in practice.

"You get used to it, said the Finn, referring to the failures. "It is disappointing, obviously, but we just need to look forward for this race."

Asked whether he ever feels that he would be better served by moving to another team, he replied: "I still have a contract for next year and concerning my future, I don't really know what is happening. I have not made my mind up.

"Maybe I stay with them, because I am happy with all the people there, even if we have had some difficult times. We need to work in a better way just make sure that the car is very reliable. I think the speed of the car is very good so once we get everything else sorted, I think I will be more than happy to stay."
