According to the Hungarian state news agency, MTI, a chef working for Absolute Taste, the catering company owned by McLaren, has died following a fall from a hotel balcony.
The Woking team has since named the man as Darren Hawker, who was 29.
A McLaren spokesperson told Pitpass: "The exact circumstances are currently being investigated by the relevant authorities. Darren was a highly valued colleague and we send our sympathies to his family, friends and colleagues."
