According to sources at Indianapolis, several team personnel were attacked by irate fans as they prepared to leave the Indianapolis motor Speedway on Sunday.
On a day which saw F1 reduced to farce, with just six cars contesting the ninth round of the 2005 Formula One World Championship, feelings were running high.
After the attacks, other team personnel opted to leave wearing 'civilian clothing'.
